Mrs. Johnson’s Story

Mrs. Johnson came to our facility to regain her strength, balance, and endurance after a recent fall and hospital stay. “After the fall, I thought it was over for me,” she said. “All I could think about was my grandson and it really upset me.” At the beginning of her journey, Mrs. Johnson reported having no strength. She needed help getting out of bed, taking a bath—even going to the restroom. “It was really upsetting for me.”

That’s when Plainview stepped in. With clinical expertise and cutting-edge exercises, Mrs. Johnson was able to quickly improve her activities of daily living. She can now walk without assistance, and has been able to return home to resume life with her beloved family. “Thank you for helping me regain my independence,” she says. “Without the help, hard work, and dedication of the clinical team at Beech Tree, I would have missed out on spending time with my grandson.”

Richard’s Story

71-year-old Richard lived at home with his wife. After experiencing repeated falls and some worrisome bloodwork, he found himself in the emergency room. He needed serious rehabilitation—but even more, he needed encouragement. When Richard came to Orchard View, he was scared, upset, and had lost all confidence in himself.

After two weeks of constant motivation from Plainview’s rehab team, Richard was a different man. He went from being bedbound to ambulating distances up to 500 feet, and was eager to participate in tasks that were physically demanding. He trusted us to get him home—and that’s what we did. His progress was so positive that he was able to reunite with his wife and resume independent life. “Without the rehab team at Orchard View, I may have never made it home.”
